The project sought to improve the health and nutrition practices of the population, the quality of services at the first level of health care, basic sanitation and the creation of healthy environments, and the management of social programs and health care at the district level. It also sought diversification of production by an increase in products produced to improve the quality of the family diet.
In terms of food security (availability, access, and use of food products), the health project was complemented with farm production activities at the self-consumption level.
