The deficient management of livestock, sanitation, and feeding communities adjacent to the operations of the Volcan Mining Company have created the need for improving the availability of food for livestock, improving the bovine, ovine and camelid livestock management, and improving the production implementation of animal by-products such as milk, cheese, yogurt, fiber and wool; and improve the local capacities for managing livestock systems in the community.
GOAL: Improve the activities of bovine, ovine and camelid livestock production chains in order to increase communal income.

Scope of intervention: Carhuacayan Rural Community in Junín.
Duration: November 2017 – October 2020.
Achievements:
- The project has provided training and technical assistance to 68 producers members of the Carhuacayan Community.
- Dairy byproduct production was improved by obtaining the health registration for cheese, yogurt and “majar”.
- 80 hectares of pasture (perennial and annual) were provisioned.
- A siphon was created for transferring water and having 60 hectares of pressurized irrigation. 30 hectares are currently set.
