This project was framed within the decentralization process in Perú and Ecuador and had the objective of consolidating binational relationships between cities from both countries located along the border. The experience exchange in terms of technical, politic and economic levels favored consolidation of democracy and governability in both countries.
Project objective: To contribute to improving the quality of life of populations living along the border of both countries Perú-Ecuador. The purpose of the project was to strengthen institutional capacity of local authorities and the mechanisms of cooperation between Peru and Ecuador.

Intervention area: 35 districts/cantons in the province of Huancabamaba (8 districts), Sullana (8 districts) and Ayabaca (10 districts of Piura) and in the province of Loja (9 cantons located on the border)
