PROJECT

The purpose of the project was to provide technical assistance, promote the incorporation of a larger number of workers in the solid waste M&SEs, and train them in solid waste management. The objective of this Project was to improve the living conditions of people who currently live and work with solid waste under unacceptable conditions.

This project started in 2008, and it lasted for three years. It was financed by the National Fund for Job Training and Employment Promotion – FONDOEMPLEO.

Objective: To improve solid waste management in the poor suburbs of the capital of Piura, Castilla and Catacaos.
