Improvement in sanitation conditions in the district of San Andrés

The purpose of the project was to help reduce the incidence of diarrheal diseases in the population living in these human settlements; it was proposed, therefore, to improve the sanitation conditions through the installation of the public sewerage system, and to improve practices of hygiene and sanitation.

The project grew from a long road traveled by the leaders of the human settlements in San Andrés, who had first started the negotiations for having a sewerage system installed. Intervida analyzed and accepted this challenge, and formed a partnership with Prisma to carry out the project.
