The organic certification project will have an effect on the production costs of the crops. A production system that uses farm resources, placing emphasis on soil fertility and biological activity and, at the same time, minimizes the use of non-renewable resources (refraining from using synthetic fertilizers and pesticides) to protect the environment and human health, is the kind of system needed for increasing quinoa production and improving the quality of the quinoa obtained.
Objective: To increase certified organic quinoa production, meeting the demand for this cereal in the organic market with better prices.
