Carlton Evans is an infectologist trained at the Universities of London and Oxford. In addition, he is a professor of Global Health at Imperial College London, England; with a PhD from the University of Cambridge.

He is the founder and leader of IPSYD (Innovación Para la Salud Y el Desarrollo www.ipsyd.org = “IFHAD: Innovation For Health And Development www.ifhad.org”), a multidisciplinary team based in: Prisma NGO, Peru; Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Peru; and Imperial College London.

IPSYD is developing and evaluating innovative, equitable and practical strategies to combat poverty and prevent related tuberculosis in resource-limited settings. See publications: https://goo.gl/CUYV9G.

Most of these activities take place in Peru, with collaborative research sites in several other countries. Capability development involves mentoring and partnering with a dynamic research team that includes interns, PhD students, and Masters students in an international training network.
