She is an assistant professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on pulmonary and critical care medicine. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and earned her Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
She has participated in the following studies: CRONICAS – Evaluation of household contamination in Puno, Peru. Genetic Susceptibility to Air Pollution in Children with Asthma (GASP) – Auxiliary study examining associations between vitamin D deficiency and pediatric asthma. Fogarty-Funded Mixed Methods Study – Evaluate barriers and facilitators affecting the adoption of evidence-based care for asthma in Lima. Global Excellence in COPD Outcomes (GECO) – Validation of a case-finding instrument for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), implementation and evaluation of a community intervention for COPD. Asthma Implementation Research (AIRE) – Implementation and evaluation of a community intervention for pediatric asthma in northern Lima.
